(This is several months later, as you may have gathered.) The Verkhovna Rada is the Ukrainian Parliament -- they have a parliamentary system like Germany or the UK. Except not so transparent. The first panel shows the Vydubychi Monastery in the National Botanic Gardens, the Dnieper (pronounced Nee-per) River, and of course, the skyline of the urban part of Kiyv. And it took a crazy long time to draw. Many thanks to L. for his intelligent and knowledgeable thoughts on military ranks. And those of you who habitually click the links down here in the notes may recognize Chekhov. :) (To clarify, his hair is grey, not light blond.)
