Apparently (according to a firefighter I got caught in a rainstorm with) a rainstorm won't put out a fire. Cut it down slightly, but not put it out.
It's true. I'm not a firefighter, but as a boy scout, I've seen plenty of bonfires survive a rainstorm, when it starts raining after the fire is already going full tilt.
It's really hard to get the fire started in the rainstorm though.
Whoever set this fire might well have started it while the roof was still on, warzones being what they are...I imagine that's not how the scouts do it. >_> Yana's probably feeling too twitchy right now to go up to a campfire.
(Cool icon, btw.)
Yep the firefighter is right.
And this is excellent lighting and fire effects! And that rain looks really wet! Poor Yana.
It's not a good day when the light at the end of the tunnel is a burning farmhouse.
